AJWO's 40th ANNIVERSARY SEMINAR, dedicated to the memory of our beloved Hon Life President Edie Noble

An illustrious panel addressed the
meeting at AJWO's 40th Anniversary Seminar. The Baroness Susan Greenfield, CBE, director of the Royal Institution of Great Britain; Fullerian Professor of Physiology; Senior Research Fellow of Lincoln College; Honorary Fellow of St Hilda's College Gisela Stuart MP for Birmingham, Edgbaston Flora Hoori, London Fieldworker for the Union of Jewish Students All spoke in their different ways of their concerns for the future of society. Baroness Greenfield spoke of her research into the workings of the human brain and the role scientists should have in making the World a better place. Gisela Stuart continued this theme from the perspective of a woman working in Government. Flora Hoori spoke of the Union of Jewish student's efforts to build bridges with other faith communities. She also spoke of their support for Jewish Women's Aid and other worthy outreach programmes. |
